I feel strange that the Cold Case kind of shows have race makeup

The TV show has lots of black detectives,and the bad guys look like chinese.

But in the reality show with nthe same name, the murders are mostly black,hispanic and white, never an asian. The detectives are  almost all are white, the crime labs have many asians
