I completely understand what you are concerned now. But, let assume you have this kind of difference going on and on, you are going to get divorced, which you probably can afford. But, can you afford both divorce and loosing your job? If you have them live in senior homes, they are taken care of with monthly pensions. You and your wife can visit them as much as you want. You need to think this through.
