(CNN) -- AirAsia Flight 8501 has lost contact with air traffic control in Jakarta, Indonesia, a crisis center for the airline said Sunday.
The flight was on its way from Surabaya in Indonesia to Singapore, according to the airline's website.
The plane left Surabaya Juanda International Airport at 5:27 a.m. Sunday (4:27 p.m. Saturday ET) was due to arrive in Singapore at 8:37 a.m. (7:30 p.m. Saturday, ET), according to the website.
"We are seeking more information to provide," the crisis center said.
