我在《几曾回首》上发表了一帖有关中国人被时代杂志（Time）评选为年度风云人物（Person of the year）的文章 （http://bbs.wenxuecity.com/maozedong/396144.html）。

网友xulm988 回了一帖，《邓小平：中国最后的暴君》，（http://bbs.wenxuecity.com/maozedong/396468.html），帖名即1997年3月3日美国《时代》周刊的一篇文章，DENG XIAOPING: THE LAST EMPEROR

“THE LAST EMPEROR”被网友xulm988  翻译成“最后的暴君”，准确与否，读者自己去判断吧。

 

不过“DENG XIAOPING: THE LAST EMPEROR”  一文确实有几段话值得引述：

 

“At least 30 million, perhaps 40 million, Chinese died as a result of Mao's Great Leap Forward” ，至少有三千万，可能有四千万中国人，死于毛泽东的大跃进。

“Mao refused to believe reports of famine”，毛泽东拒绝相信饥荒的报道。
