it has two ways to play and the phone box can be taken out and played separately as another individual toy and leave some space for baby to crawl in and out.

A few days ago, amazon has a 15% off deal and it was cheaper than it is now. This playhouse can be played from 6 months(when the baby can sit without support and start to crawl)until they are able to walk around without support. My son right now uses it as a support to move around before he starts to walk without support. The only downside of this toy is if your kids are very strong and start to walk around it and push it, it is not that sturdy because it is made of plastics. 

 

My hu*****and also bought another similiar thing for my babies and they like it very much and it is more sturdy than this playhouse because each side is locked and prevent babies to pull it and tilt it over.

the second one you don't have to buy it if your baby likes the playhouse(the first one that I recommend) very much and do not tilt it over. Also I would wait for a better deal for the second one since it is quite expensive.
