-Adoption has no age limit in US too, but the problem is that you can not sponsor the adopted child's green card if you adopt him after he turns 16 years old. So, what I means is the green card issue, not the adoption issue. By the way, the green card application is related to the US Federal immigration law which applys to every state in US. So, if the child has been > 16 years, he may apply for F-1 visa to come to US to study in a private high school and then, go to collage later. Thus, when he graduates from college, then find a job here to apply for the green card in the future.
