J1博后三年多了，最近联系到一个实验室，老板确定给offer。但是咨询了学校的International Center，得到的回复是，J1 transfer时DS-2019表的第四项“subject/field code”必须是一样才行，

就是说研究领域必须类似。我联系的新老板其实做的东西和我目前的课题很像，但是我问了一下他组里的一个博后，得知这个博后的“subject/field code”和我的完全不一样。不知道我现在这种情况怎

-The job code is not need to be exact the same, but only need to be in the same classification. For example, your research is in lung disease now, and it is fine for you to do research in another biomedical area, such as skin disease, etc.

样才能换到新课题组。
1）难道我不能transfer，只有拿到新的DS-2019，出境，再申请新visa？
2）我还没办waiver，可以再拿第二个J1吗？-Yes两个J1加起来一共能用5年？-Yes., total is five years no matter how many time you do IJ-1 transfer..
