Besides, it's not how you started your game but rather how you closed the game matters most. Yes, Jason Terry was the biggest factor in game 6 for the win, but Dirk carried them throughout the whole playoff series, including the first 5 games in the Finals, including 2 winning shots in 2 games. Also, he did grabed 11 rebounds, and scored 21 points in this "sucking" game.
He's human, not a machine.
BTW, the best player ever played the game, Michael Jordan. had quite a few stinkers in the Finals.
In game four vs Utah in 1997, Jordan tied a personal career finals low with only 22 points. He was 11/27 from the field, and the Bulls lost their second in a row against the Jazz. After winning the first three in a row of the 1996 Finals the Bulls came out sluggish in game four leading to the first of two straight losses. Jordan looked a grizzled 33 years old in his worst ever finals game. He only shot 6 of 19 from the field and he made 11 of 13 free throws but he did miss both his three attempts. He only had three rebounds and two assists with one steal. His four turnovers and three fouls with 23 points in a loss, made this the worst Jordan ever played in the finals
