请教美国大陆哪个洲的秋天比较美?

we are going to spend two months in US mainland to see the foliage, but we do not know which state or city where we should stay? We both enjoy the back country, and wilderness. If you have any thoughts or information about the vacation rentals available, and place to visit, we would certainly appreciate.
