Key west is lots of fun, but the beach's not what you're looking

Just wanted to let you know, Key west has lots of fun water activities, but it's not known for it's beach, the beach is small, rocky, not the white sand you're looking for, water is clear & beatiful.
Destin FL has nice beach & water, but no good scuba diving.
