Hope you child is feeling better. Some of the catowners (my hu*****and being one of them) love their cats just as much as they love kids, so understandably they may sound a bit harsh on you downstairs. Appreciate that you were not deterred, and that you actually dug out the information for the rest of us. As a result, we can have a more educated assessment on the risks and rewards of potentially introducing a new cat into the family with very young children.
