So definitely keep that in mind when you decide when you need to make the call to your OB or/and head to the hospital. Good luck!
my experience
I had my baby number two last week. My water broke at 4:30pm (at work:) with no sign of onset of labor, I arrived at the hospital at 5:30pm, very mild contractions started at 7pm, got into delivery room at 7:30pm, serious contractions started at 7:45pm, and by 8:10pm I was ready to push. I was in terrible pain as the epidural team could not get to me fast enough. The doctor and nurses were scrambling to get their stuff ready while asking me to "hold" (yeah right, easier said than done). Luckily for me, my water broke first. If I had waited for contractions to be 5 min apart before I did anything, I would never have made it to the hospital.
So definitely keep that in mind when you decide when you need to make the call to your OB or/and head to the hospital. Good luck!
