Once we are aboard, of course the West cannot main the sanctions. Just like the West don't sanction against useful countries such as Iran, before the revolution, and Iraq, after Iran's revolution. Neither did they try to sanction Saudia Arabia because they are "allies" or useful tools. We were useful against USSR. Simple as that. Once USSR is finished, we are the biggest Communist country left, of course it'll be our turn to be sanctioned against.
