who can pull out tons of data in a minute. I didn't question the involvement of France. I was trying to point out that war was decided by land forces. The Americans did fight the British with their own men.

Throughout the war, the colonists were debating which side they should support. The Americans did overcome a lot of obstacles to win the independence, myth or not.
