from my reading of 战争论, he gave way too much examples

8 volumes are way too much as he went meticulously trying to emcompass all aspects of warfare, but failed to inspire readers with his cumbersome writings. I was almost bored to death after reading 6 volumns. A lot of wasted words and too much examples really ruined the experience. But, it is a good complement to 孙子兵法 due to its excessive examples. That is, if you really like Napolean and Philip the Great (?) very much.
