张宗燧 was probably the more famous one. I've heard a story about him. In the 50's, China invited a Russian mathematician for a visit. When that guy learned 张宗燧 worked in the place he was going to visit, he said 张宗燧 was much better than me so he did not come. 张宗燧's son was my classmate in a university in Beijing, went to USA for graduate school and live and work in USA.
