Her parents were from poor family and her father was WW2 hero and survived 3 shotdowns and seriously injured. Her father and his brother worked in liquor industry and succeeded to become rich. Nothing wrong with it. It is typical American story.
2) never acknowledge her half-sister who nothing from their common father(is it shameful)?
No body know what is going on inside a family. As Chinese saying goes, 清官难断家务事
3) stole charity drugs? I never hear of and can not comment on
4) beauty contest? a Culture thing in America and nothing wrong with it

As for Michelle Obama, she is fine woman. But I do have one problem with her. That is her "for the first time in my life, I feel pround of my country" comment.
She has every reason to be pround of US and she got education in Princton and earns a lot of money for her family. We all admire the success of her career. But given her statue, she said that kind of words. It is beyond my belief
