In 1960's Kennedy versus Nixon, the race was so close. But in the end, Nixon lost it by very, very thin margin.
It was in Chicago that Nixon lost the election. From that election, country found out Chicago politics is dirty business. GOP strongly urged Nixon request recount but he declined. He does not want to drag the country into legal battle. That was then.
