After the country knows that Hillary may consider running for President, all polls show that Americans today do not care about gender of Presidential candidate.

But a big portion of them do not want to elect Hillary. I do not know how Hillary filtered through culture obstacle to become nice, smart, family-loving woman in your view. But all polls show a constant category by far: 45% of people polled said, unequivocally, that they will not vote for her no matter what she says.

You might want to reconcile your view with these group of people if you are curious

So it is not that people do not want a woman in white house but that they do not want her. There is big difference between female President and Hillary.
