if you plan go back to accept a county party chair position, yes, take it. you'll have great potential within ten years.
if you plan goto university, then don't go. i were a ee professor in chinese top 10 university 6 years ago. fed up, i came to usa to start everything from scratch. worked for several small company, it is much more fun compare to my professor life back to beijing.
