D80, entry level (street price $900, body only), D200, “semi”-pro ($1700) and D2X or D2Xs, professional level ($5000). D50 with lower price was designed for budget-conscious photographer shopping for their first DSLR. Although with little less features, D50 can provide excellent image. The quality of some functions is even better than old D70.
