it's easy to file ead/ap yourself instead of lawyer.

you don't need ead if you have h1b and only want to work for current h1b sponsor.

it's a gray area whether your spouse's activated ead will invalidate your own h1b status, but i read people did that without problem.

if your spouse wants to work on his ead, consult a lawyer or do it AYOR
