confused and frustrated

I just joined a new company a few months ago, the offer looks good to me in terms of salary and I can work at home. My boss is in another city, but the project I am working on is in another city, so the team of me, my boss and project manager are in 3 different places. The company need somebody with experiences that I have, so my boss hired me because I can pick it up quickly. The project manager is younger than me but her title is 2 levels higher than me, and she does not have lot of experiecne on this project, so she sometimes ask me to give her some tips and even ask me to QA/QC what she did. Since the lack of experice, this project is not well set up from the beginning and she spent a lot of time on it. I found many errors and I have to correct them then I can do my part. The PM has very close connection with my boss through messenger and phone calls, I received phone calls from her often since she wants to check the status and ask me if I need anything from her. But I never receive any phone calls from my boss and only a few e-mails. I called him a couple of times. I am feeling that I was innorged by him and he seems does not care about what I am doing, which is not good to me. What I should do? Should I contact him everyday and let him know what I am doing. We three have a conference every week. Feel frustrated and wonder if this kind of situation makes sense or not. Thank you for any suggestions.
