One piece of advice for u:

When you look for postdoc labs, you have to see whether that lab has Chinese postdocs (at least foreigners). It is difficult to find a lab now w/o a Chinese postdoc, UNLESS the boss has problem with Chinese. That may not be 100% true, but do you want to take any risk? B4 joining the lab, you have to talk with Chinese postdocs in the lab to get some ideas whether he is happy in the lab, and whether he himself is a nice person to deal with in the future. Donot take the risk to be the only/first Chinese postdoc in the lab. Your US "friends" can be very very very mean. I heard many people complaining about Chinese being mean, that is because he has not seen the world yet.
