Office colleague relationship is very trouble some. YOu want to be friendly to others, some people think you are easy to be bullied. If you insist on your opinion, some people think you are too stubborn. Some Chinese people especially from south China are kind of looking down upon Chinese also. In the same time they are flattering foreigners. While foreigners are normally don't show much respect to those Chinese also. Very complicated.(:
