Linguistically and grammatically speaking, it can be interpreted as that, on your mind, China invaded Vietnam but Japan didn't invaded China theoretically. Am I right?
The causes of both wars were much different. Don't try to twist them to make them sound like the same. Did the Chinese occupy the Vietnamnese lands and commit atrocities such as NanJing massacre like what the Japanese did during WW2? The US invaded Japan during WW2. Did your family benefit from the Sino-Japan war? My grand grand mother told me one thing what the Japanese soldiers did during the war. They set up posts on the street and ordered all Chinese to bow to them. If anybody disobeyed the person would be stabbed to death with their bayonets. I wonder if your ancestors were the Japanese soldiers or part of the Chinese victims.
