H-1, L-1 & AP

I have read so many postings asking about AP while on H-1 or L-1 visa. True, one does not require AP and can travel on valid H-1 or L-1 visa while the I-485 is pending. However, one cannot travel on the said visa, say for example, even if you have accepted authorized employment on EAD. That’s considered a violation of your H or L status. You have to use AP in situation like that. Of course it is not an issue if the CIS officer is not smart enough to ask the question.
