It depends why company needs a temp. If they need extra person, u might have high chance to get the position. If you are in someone's leave, u might not get the position.

By the way, I was hired as temp-to-hire position. During the interview, they said if they are satifised, I will turn to permant in three months. They need to pose position publicly and I still need to go through formal interview process when I turn to permanent.
