Another piece of advice is about the cruelty of nature. It is not a normal situation for people without much experience to get professor's (or associate professor's) positions in presentable universities. In a few years more qualified people will be eager to get the same kind of job you are going after. If you remember the situation 5 or 10 years ago (at your age, you should be aware of that) then you will understand. It will not be an easy path, that after a few year's struggle you will coast all the way forward. If you can not bring a steady stream of grants your employer will sideline you without a blink. Here tenure at least covers some bottum line.
It's men's burden to carry a multitude of loads at the same time. So you need to set down some goals and deadlines, discuss these with your family, and once decided, stick to them.
