It really depends on you. I believe a well planned trip (including lodging) will give you a relief while traveling, of course the coupons will help you save some bucks, but you’ll never know, maybe you can find a good deal online. I don’t have any experience lodging at blue ridge pkwy, only at Asheville, and I suggest not to go the motels and inns there, Catlinburg and Pigeon Forge should be better. We drove from Asheville to Linn Gove Viaduct and back to Cherokee , so we were still far away from Shenandoah National Park :-) It was summer time, and the blue ridge pkwy gets so smoky, sometimes we had to stop because we couldn’t see the road front.Spring season should be better. Anyway, have a nice trip…
