I assume you are talking about I797. After you got it, you need to make an appointment on the web. It'd be better your wife got another appointment, and you can go together. Normally, Toronto has lots of people in line so you apply today and get it back(if you are granted for visa) tomorrow afternoon. If you want to get it back the same day, you need to try somewhere else like Vancuver, Calgabry, Montreal or Ottawa. Go check it at "www.nvars.com". You can also find a checklist there for you and your wife. Mostly H4 depends on the qualifications of principal applicant (you). So, if you can be interviewd together with your wife it'd nice for both of you.
